End the genocide in Darfur
Every day, Darfuris face rape, murder, and starvation. Be a Voice for Darfur: tell Obama to end the suffering.
I'm not kidding. Even Obama's Lipstick thing could be compared to Geraldine Ferraro's comment that Obama got preferential treatment because he is a black man. Or being a small town mayor versus community organizer. It's kind of eerie.
Take aways Obama's intelligence and the fact that he is a constitutional scholar, also remove his passion for social and economic justice, you will also want to remove his education, his policies towards women's rights, his advocacy for children, his stance on the environment...
Move the dial to the Center and presto, you have Sara Palin!
Your comments are so easliy dismissed as well as contradictory.
First, it is very difficult to measure and then compare such things as “intellegence,” and “passion for…” – so let’s dismiss those from the argument.
Obama’s resume shows that he has never been in charge of anything, so I am wondering under what authority he ever put policies in place for women’s rights? Unfortunately, many of his supporters only want women’s rights when it is a Democrat in the public eye.
As far as advocacy for children…would that be for children in the womb or just those outside the womb?
And what is his stance on the environment? Other than high level sound bites regarding unsubstantiated promises (see his website for bulleted lists with no substance), I see no stance other than opinion.
And C.L… you should be ashamed for playing into a very mean-spirited campaign regarding a woman’s right to choose life in this case. Palin has not exploited her baby anymore than Obama has of his white mother and black father.
I understand there is much emotion on both sides of any political campaign, but try to keep your public discourse on a factual level and a level that addresses issues versus hate.
