Brodner's Cartoon du Jour: EXTRA: Impalin McCain
September 3, 2008
Had to post this. This is an actual off-mic clip from Mike Murphy and Peggy Noonan, two top GOP pundits last night on MSNBC. When Chuck Todd goes to break they reveal their true feelings about the Palin nomination. ’Nuff said, I think. This from Politico:
"It's over," said Noonan, and then responded to a question of whether Palin is the most qualified Republican woman McCain could have chosen.
"The most qualified? No. I think they went for this — excuse me — political bullsh** about narratives," she said. "Every time Republicans do that...because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at and they blow it."
Murphy chimed in:
"The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical."

Barack didn't upset the status quo and selected someone who is very embedded in Washington's political machine. While the Maverick shook up the status quo and selected a hockey mom.
While I would have rather seen Mike Huckabee as VP, I think Sarah is going to surprise a lot of people - in a good way.
